December To Be Read List

December may just be my favorite month of the year thanks to the holiday season and the cold weather. Cuddling under blankets, drinking hot chocolate, and marathon watching Harry Potter, here I come! Also, on my to-do list for December are a few young adult books. From a computer hacker to a half-god to a wizard school (but not that one), my reads this month are SO promising.

Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor

Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor, $13.61, Amazon

Muse of Nightmares is the sequel to Taylor's incredible Strange the Dreamer. The first novel basically took over #bookstagram, and after reading it, I can see why. With two protagonist that are incredibly well-developed, an immersive story filled with histories and magic, it quickly became one of my favorite books of the year. That's why I'm so excited to dive into Muse.

Warcross by Marie Lu

Warcross by Marie Lu, $9.89, Amazon

Warcross is a book that came out in 2018 that I've been putting off. Not for any particular reason other than it's outside of my typical fantasy genre. I'd say Warcross falls more into science fiction. However, it's a massively popular release from this year, and my husband just finished it and its sequel and raved about them. He's got great tastes in books, and it's hard to believe that half the internet is lying about how amazing Warcross is, so it's officially getting read in December.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell, $9.89, Amazon

I can hear the young adult book fans screaming at me through my computer for not having read this one yet. I'm a huge fan of Rainbow Rowell and loved Fangirl. You'd think by now I'd have read Carry On, but I haven't. Again, I'm not totally sure why, but I'm excited to get started. With an LGBT love story, magic, and a wizard school, I'm all in. Plus, it's Rowell, so I'd be all in no matter what it was about.

That's it for now, friends. I can't wait to jump into these incredible young adult reads. What are you planning to read for the holidays? Leave me a comment and let me know!
