2019 Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations

Updated: Jul 15, 2019

For beauty lovers, it's the most wonderful time of the year! The 2019 Sephora VIB Sale is here, and with 20% off for VIB Rouge members, 15% off for VIB members, and 10% off for Beauty Insiders, now is a great time to shop some of Sephora's best items thanks to the rare discount. Let's be honest, if you're a mega fashion and beauty shopper, you already know that skin care and makeup barely ever goes on sale, and now is the time to go banana pants in the store.

The 2019 Sephora VIB Sale begins today, April 26, for VIB Rouge members (those who top tier memberships which isn't me because I'm cheap) and will continue until May 6. Don't worry, though, if you need to wait for pay day. VIB members' shopping day (this is my level woo!) begins on May 2 as does regular Beauty Insider members. Like the Rouge members, the 15% and 10% discounts run until May 6.

If you're curious what you should be shopping, I'm going to include some of my favorite skin care, hair, and makeup items here. While this falls more into the beauty of fashion and beauty, trust me, when there's a fashion sale, I'll let you know, too. But if you can't shop the sale (or other sales) at all, don't feel pressure to do so. Things are just things, and there's always a second VIB Sale later in the year. If you can shop, though, here are some of my Sephora VIB Sale recommendations.

Glow Recipe Pineapple-C Brightening Serum

Honestly, you should probably just buy everything from Glow Recipe, but their latest launch is my current favorite from the brand (which is saying a lot because I'm obsessed). The Pineapple-C Brightening Serum is a vitamin C serum that helps to brighten skin (duh) as well as even skin tone, reduce dryness and redness, and sooth the skin. Not only does it do these things, but it practically does it immediately. If there's a skin care product that's a filter for your face, this is it. Plus, it really does smell like pineapple.

Too Faced Hangover RX Replenishing Face Primer

Since spring is here and summer is well on its way, I've been super into dewy, hydrated skin. Too Faced's Hangover Primer is one of my favorite products to help make my makeup stay in place but also keep my face hydrated beneath my makeup. Plus, it smells exactly like coconut (can you tell I'm a sucker for smells, yet?)

Verb Ghost Shampoo & Conditioner

Let's be honest, hair care at Sephora can be costly, especially when there actually are great drugstore options for your hair. However, Verb is a more affordable brand sold at Sephora, and it's killer quality at a fab price. The brand's Ghost Hair Oil is one of their hero products, and the shampoo and conditioner versions are just as incredible. They help to increase shine, smooth frizz, and protect your strands. With this kit, you're getting liter-sized products for just $30 each, but the brand also has smaller version if you want to test the product first.

Farmacy Beauty Green Clean

Do you wear makeup regularly? Every day? Once a month? It doesn't matter. You need this balm cleanser. Farmacy's Green Clean is my favorite oil/balm cleanser of all time. There are balm and oil cleansers out there that can leave a film over your face or just aren't so effective, but that's no the case here. This shit will remove every ounce of makeup in one cleanse. You need it. If you want a double cleanse, the brand's Honey Cleanser is a great companion.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation

$43 is um, expensive for a foundation in my opinion. Are there more expensive ones out there? Sure, but Makeup Forever's Ultra HD Liquid is the best. If you need to look good in photography, use this. If you want your skin to look flawless, use this. My favorite thing about the foundation, though, is that you can wear it fairly sheer (think low medium coverage) or build it up to a full on mask without it looking like cake. Plus, MUFE has always been an inclusive brand, and there's a shade for everyone.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

I told you that I love Glow Recipe, and I wasn't kidding. If you've never used a sleeping mask before, the brand's Watermelon Glow is a great place to start as well as a great place to start if you're new to using AHAs. The mask gently resurfaces your face overnight while locking in hydration. The result? You wake up with instantly soft and smooth skin.

Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask

Not only does this hair mask smell amazing, but it's so nourishing. While you can put it in after shampooing and rinse it out as if it's a conditioner, I prefer to put it on my dry hair, let it sit for about 20 minutes the rinse and go about my shampooing. Your hair will smell amazing for days, and it works on all hair textures.

Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream

Oooo boy, Tatcha is expensive, but given that it's VIB sale time, now's the best time to buy it. The brand's latest Dewy Skin Cream is a moisturizer take on their iconic Dewy Skin Mist, and man, is it hydrating. My skin is basically a desert if I don't keep it properly moisturize, and this beauty is good for day or night.

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter

Why are the Fenty highlighters so great? You get the best of both highlighting world. Some days, maybe you're not really feeling a blinding glow. Others, maybe you want to beam up to the moon. Fenty lets you do both, and the color selection is incredible.

Dior Lip Glow

Welcome to the world's most expensive lip balm. Okay, so it may not be, but it's definitely got to be close, right? This stuff is FAB. Not only will it give your lips a nature tint, but it's so nourishing. There's a good reason why it's $34.

Clarisonic Mia Smart 3-in-1 Connected Sonic Beauty Device

Do you need a Clarisonic? No. Is a Clarisonic an amazing beauty device? Yes. If you think this tool is a gimmick, so did I until I got one. I swear to you that my pores shrunk by half in about a month, and the incredible (but still gentle) physical exfoliation is incredible.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette

I will never not recommend the Soft Glam palette from ABH. Just look at those perfect nudes and neutrals with gorgeous pops of red and pink! Not only is this palette perfect for creating every day looks, but you can go full on smokey with it as well.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser

While I like experimenting with cleansers, there's never really been anything that comes close to Purity. It's a fan favorite product from Sephora, and I understand why. It won't strip your skin, but it will get it clean, and it's great at removing makeup (though, I still recommend a double cleanser instead).

Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense

Are you wearing sunscreen? YOU SHOULD BE. Essentially, all of your skin care is no good if you're not protecting your skin from the sun. Drunk Elephant's sunscreen is a standout because not only is it protective, but it's good for your skin, too!

Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Hydration

It doesn't matter how much money you have to spend, a sheet mask will always be a great option. Whether you can snag one or 30 during the Sephora VIB sale, stock up. One of my particular favorites is the ultra-hydrating Egg Cream Mask from Too Cool For School.

If you want to shop the 2019 Sephora VIB sale, these products are a good place to start, at least in my opinion.
